Ankeny Youth Triathlon

Registration is open now for the 2008 Ankeny Youth Triathlon. July 26th.

The Triathlon Racers of Iowa have again joined forces with Ankeny Parks and Recreation and the Ankeny Jaycees to bring you the Ankeny Youth Triathlon. This triathlon is for kids 7-14 years old. Boys and Girls are scored separately this year.

The race will begin at the Prairie Ridge Family Aquatic Center and finish at the North View Middle School track. While awards will be given to the top finishers of each age group, every participant is a winner and will receive a t-shirt, goodie bag, recovery food and a participation award.

Distances for 7-8, and 9-10 year olds:

•         Swim: 100 yards  (rest stops are permitted)
•         Bike: 2 miles
•         Run: 1/2 mile

Distances for 11-12, and 13 -14 year olds

•         Swim: 200 yards  (rest stops are permitted)
•         Bike: 4 miles
•         Run: 1 mile
